TapSight privacy policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
TapSight: Image Auto Clicker (package app.web.tapsight) is an Android app by the developer Trung-Hieu Tran. It performs the taps, swipes and gestures of the macros you create, record or import, and it can wait for a picture, a colour or a word on the screen before it acts. TapSight is free to download, with an optional one-time purchase, TapSight Pro.
This policy explains what TapSight does with your information. The short version: TapSight's own code collects and shares nothing about you. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob and Unity Ads, whose SDKs collect some device data, described below; buying Pro removes every ad. What it sees on the screen is checked in memory on your phone and dropped; it is never sent anywhere or given to the ad networks. Your macros stay on your phone.
What TapSight collects
TapSight itself collects nothing about you. It has:
- no account and no sign-in;
- no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking of our own;
- no server of ours and no online macro store.
What TapSight sees on the screen, recognised text, your macros, images and run logs never leave your phone and are never given to the ad networks.
The free version of TapSight shows ads (see the next section), so it has Android's internet, network state and advertising ID permissions. Besides the ad networks' own traffic, TapSight makes one request of its own: it asks FightTech's server (fighttech.vn) which ad networks and formats are switched on for this app. That request carries only the app's package name (and, like any internet request, your IP address); it is not used to identify you.
Advertising (Google AdMob and Unity Ads)
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and Unity Ads, in TapSight's own screens only: a banner on the macro list and Settings, now and then a full-screen ad at a natural pause, and a video ad only if you choose to watch one to try Pro features for 24 hours. Ads never appear while a macro runs, over other apps or the floating panel, on the accessibility notice, the screen-capture dialog or during onboarding. TapSight asks for your consent with Google's User Messaging Platform where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and some US states) before any ad is requested; you can change your choice at any time in Settings › Ad privacy choices. To show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, these SDKs may collect and process:
- the device's advertising ID (Android "AD_ID" permission), the app set ID and other device identifiers;
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system, language, app version and your interactions with ads (Unity may also record purchases made through its ads and app usage times);
- approximate location derived from the IP address;
- diagnostics, such as SDK performance data.
This data is collected by Google and Unity, not by the developer, and is sent encrypted. Depending on your consent and region, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in Android's settings. Buying TapSight Pro removes every ad (Settings › Remove ads). See https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
The accessibility service
TapSight's core function needs Android's Accessibility Service API. TapSight explains on its own screen what the service does and asks for your consent before it opens Android's settings; the service stays off until you turn it on yourself. TapSight is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities; it uses the API only for automation that you define:
- perform the taps, swipes, paths and multi-finger gestures of the macros you made, recorded or imported, only while you run one. Every action follows the steps you set up; TapSight never decides on its own what to do, and nothing is generated or suggested by a server or a model;
- look at the screen (on Android 11 and newer, with the accessibility screenshot function) only while a step you made waits for an image, a colour or text. Each picture is analysed in memory and dropped; it is never logged or sent, and it is not saved unless you turn on "Keep a picture when a check fails" (off by default; see below);
- read the elements on the screen (such as a button's label) only for a condition you set, like "a button with this text is shown", and know which app is in front for the macros you link to an app. This is compared at once and not stored;
- notice the volume-down key (key-event filtering) while a macro runs, so that holding it for 2 seconds stops the macro, and, only if you turn on hotkeys in the app (off by default), notice the keys you chose there (for example volume up and down together, or a key of a keyboard or remote) while hotkeys are on, to start, pause or stop the panel's macro. Other keys pass through untouched, and no key press is stored, recorded or sent;
- show or hide the floating panel from Android's accessibility button (Android 8 and newer), if you use that button. It never starts a macro by itself;
- draw the floating panel, which always has Stop, and the markers of your macro.
The service skips password fields: it never reads them, never types into them and never acts on them. It also does not act on Android's accessibility settings. It does not read your messages and does nothing when no macro is running. You can turn it off at any time in Android's Settings › Accessibility.
Screen capture on Android 7 to 10
Android 7 to 10 have no accessibility screenshot function. There, and only while a macro with an image, colour or text step runs, TapSight uses Android's screen capture (MediaProjection). Android asks for your consent each time and shows that the screen is being captured, and TapSight shows a notification while it runs (a foreground service of type "media projection"). The frames are analysed in memory and dropped, exactly as above. Nothing is recorded or saved.
Text recognition (Pro): Google ML Kit, bundled
TapSight Pro can recognise text on the screen with Google ML Kit Text Recognition, using a model bundled inside the app: recognition runs entirely on your phone, and the recognised text is compared with your condition and dropped. ML Kit includes a Google logging component that normally sends usage and performance metrics to Google. Because the free version has internet access for ads, this component can send those metrics to Google: device and app information, performance metrics, error codes and a per-installation identifier, for diagnostics and usage analytics. It never sends the screen, your template images or the recognised text. Google does not share this data with third parties.
What is stored on your phone
TapSight keeps these only in its private storage on your device:
- your macros: their steps, positions, timings, conditions, variables, run forms and scripts, and the apps you link them to (package names only);
- the images you crop as templates for image steps;
- the run log: when a macro ran and how each step went;
- only if you turn on "Keep a picture when a check fails" (TapSight Pro, off by default): the screen a picture, colour or text check saw when it ran out of time, kept with that run log row; at most 20 pictures, each deleted after 7 days, and "Delete all pictures" in Settings removes them at once. They are never sent;
- earlier versions of each macro (the last 10), so you can roll back an edit; they are deleted with the macro;
- your settings and the date and version of the accessibility notice you agreed to;
- if you buy Pro, the Google Play purchase receipt, cached so Pro keeps working offline.
When you link a macro to an app, TapSight lists the apps on your phone that have a launcher icon. The list is not stored, except the apps you choose, and is never sent anywhere. TapSight does not request access to all installed apps.
Other permissions
- Notifications: a macro is running or has finished, with Stop, and the screen-capture notice on Android 7 to 10.
- Internet, network state and advertising ID: for the ads in the free version only (see Advertising).
- Not requested: display over other apps (the panel is drawn by the accessibility service), camera, microphone, location, contacts, phone, SMS and storage.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
TapSight Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play. The payment takes place in the Google Play Store app, and Google's privacy policy applies to the payment (https://policies.google.com/privacy). TapSight never sees your payment details. It receives only the signed purchase from the Play Store app on your phone, checks it on the device and does not send it anywhere. There is no account: Pro is restored from Google Play with the same Google account. The Google Play Billing library contains Google components that may send library diagnostics (no payment details) to Google.
Macro files and backups
- Macro files and QR codes are made only when you export or share a macro, and go only to the place or app you choose. A macro file contains your steps and template images; check that the images show nothing private before you share it. Importing reads only the file or picture you pick.
- Android backup: if your phone's own backup is on, Android may copy TapSight's settings and consent record to your Google account under Google's policy. Macros, images, logs and the purchase receipt are not included; Pro is restored from Google Play.
Deleting your data
Settings › Privacy › Delete everything removes your macros, images, run logs, settings and every other record TapSight keeps on your phone. Uninstalling the app also removes everything it stored. TapSight keeps no copy on any server. Data held by the ad networks: reset or delete your advertising ID in Android's settings, and see Google's and Unity's privacy policies for their access and deletion requests.
Play fair
Some games and apps forbid auto clickers in their terms of use, and using one there can get your account restricted. TapSight only repeats what you set up and does not hide itself.
Children
TapSight is not directed at children and is intended for users aged 13 and older. TapSight does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at https://tap-sight.web.app/privacy/ with a new effective date.
